Over more than 15 years, I have worked across legal, compliance, operations, governance, professional training and wellbeing, in different industries and working environments.
Working across different roles and different areas of business has shaped the way I see organisations today. I have learned that challenges rarely sit neatly within one function - and neither does business itself. A regulatory requirement can become an operational issue. A process can affect people. And something that works perfectly on paper may not work quite so well in practice.
That experience has taught me to look beyond the immediate task: to understand the bigger picture, connect the pieces and find what can genuinely work in practice.
Better is not always about doing more.
Sometimes it starts with seeing things differently — finding a better way, simplifying what has become complicated or seeing an opportunity that wasn’t obvious before.
And sometimes, a business doesn’t need another employee.
